As I watched the GOP baseball shooting events unravel in Alexandria, VA, I couldn’t help but think, “It will get worse.”
While some are more to blame than others, there are definitely multiple parties with a hand in the creation of the “toxic climate” that has been permeating the U.S. – a climate so thick and fluffy, you could cut it with a butter knife.
Firstly, Trump needs to stop tweeting. Or better yet, he needs to stop trolling. Trump is well aware that the mainstream media (and most of entertainment industry) does not publicly like him. Donald’s defenders may compare his tweeting to Franklin Roosevelt’s Fireside Chats – sorry, it’s just not. Trump may use Twitter to communicate policies to Americans, but in the same fell swoop, he uses Twitter to troll and provoke.
Based on his flippant tweeting alone, I am convinced that Donald Trump has yet to realize the gravity of his Presidency – and that every word that comes out of his social media mouth potentially has world-wide ramifications. Personally, I’m partial to the “shoot from the hip” style, but the President of the United States should exercise a bit more restraint, at the very least.
Trump’s contribution to our “toxic climate” is small in nature. However, it is at the same time HUGE… because, um, he’s the President of the United States.
THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA
Mainstream media is the biggest toxic instigator because it is the number one vessel of communication of absurdities and narratives to the masses. Let’s be serious here, it’s been pushing a fake Russian Hacking story for nearly a year. More often than not, mainstream media makes major reporting mistakes and doesn’t bother to issue any kind of retraction, even when said mistake is discovered – and if they do offer any sort of correction, it is quickly buried. No one is any the wiser, and no one gets hurt. They’ve already enjoyed the rewards from the initial hit. Right?
POLITICIANS & ENTERTAINERS
Some of the publicly displayed “life choices” coming from politicians and entertainers are the most dangerous because they casually flirt with the inception of violence. Let me itemize a few nuggets for you:
- Former DOJ Loretta Lynch’s calls for more protests
- Senator Tim Kaine’s directive to Fight in the Streets against Trump
- Congressman Greg Gianforte choke slams a reporter
- Rocker Ted Nugent threatens to kill Barrack Obama
- Pop icon Madonna alluding to blowing up the Whitehouse
- Comedian Kathy Griffin’s depiction of a severed Trump head
- Hip Hop Rapper Snoop Dog’s Mock Assassination of Donald Trump
- Childhood Rapper Bow Wow tweeting about raping Melania Trump
- Ann Coulter
- Liberal College professors calling for flat out tyranny
America seems to have always been at odds, but President Barack Obama only added fuel to the flame. I will not lay it all at his feet, but many pre-existing divisions only grew wider under his command, and let’s be honest – this was definitely failure by design.
As I previously stated, many are responsible for the turmoil in this country. These only skim the surface. You’re welcome.
How in the hell is Vince Wilfork not a native Texan? Clearly, Wilfork is completely the embodiment of a true Texas Dad. Check out his latest Father’s Day Video, explaining that Dads barbecue, they do not BOIL.
If you haven’t noticed, the Astros have recently received a jolt of energy from young players Francis Martes and Derek Fisher. Additionally, it was pretty cool to see catcher Brian McCan go to the mound and “pep talk” Martes (while the bases were loaded, no less)… and then Martes returned to throw a strike for the inning.
Draymond Green… being Draymond Green. In the pic below, Draymond explains to a reporter that he had his shirt made in Cleveland. The most amusing thing about this interview is that seemingly, the only #quickie is the one that the reporter was hoping to have post-interview. Just saying.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“The media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.” – Malcom X
