Uber and Rick Smith
Thursday, Fred Faour and AJ Hoffman were discussing Uber. During the discussion, they talked about Uber ratings. They realized Uber drivers could rate passengers. Fred looked up his rating to see he received a 4.5 out 5. Fred was OK with his rating because AJ said that’s pretty good until AJ and Jong both discovered they had a higher rating. Fred soured on his rating he was previously pleased by. It was all in fun, I do not believe Fred was really mad but he was interested; it made me think of Houston Texans General Manager Rick Smith.
Too often, Houston Media and fan-base evaluate Rick Smith alone. Rarely does anyone benchmark Rick Smith to 31 other GMs. In other words, when Fred heard his stand alone score, he was cool, the minute he heard AJ and Jong rated higher he was like “whoa.” It’s the same when talking about Rick Smith, you have to benchmark him to other GMs in the league.
Texans and Oilers Viewership
When the Texans lost their dynamic quarterback Deshaun Watson, I instantly threw in the towel for the season. I have little interest in the remainder of the Texans season. Not only did we lose Deshaun, but I have no incentive to lose because the Texans gave up premium draft picks to get rid of Brock Osweiler and grab DeShaun. This season feels like the last year of the Oilers in Houston. The last year of the Oilers in Houston, I was living on the East Coast and had no interest with anything pertaining to the Oilers.
It’s really weird, middle November hearing local radio open up on Mondays with everything but Texans? Historically, August – April is all Texans.
SEXUAL MISCONDUCT, MEH
Unless you have been living under a rock, Hollywood and Washington DC is in a fierce competition for Perverse Supremacy. None of these power people will face any punitive action for sexual misconduct except Bill Cosby. Sure, Harvey Weinstein may go to court, but nothing will happen.
Charlie Sheen is a whore-monger, accused of raping Corey Haim and many suspect he knowingly passed the HIV virus. Miraculously, the State of California passed a law which basically decriminalized knowingly spreading HIV.
The United States 41st President was accused of groping a 16 yr old and he did what any “standup decent man” would do, he said, “I’M SORRY”.
GQ Magazine selected Colin Kaepernick as their “Citizen of the year;” instantly social media went nuts. Meanwhile, I wondered, where in the hell can I find a GQ Magazine? This magazine is too irrelevant to get upset over. Most of the people who were happy and upset probably didn’t know GQ magazine still existed. Social media wants to be mad over anything.
Jose Altuve is your American League’s MVP. Of course, I had to troll New York Yankee fans and they were pissed. I always hear Houston gets excited over MVP, but I challenge any of you to do a search on “Fuck Altuve” and you will see New York melting down. New York is in their feels in a major way.
